Backup Repository issue - Restore points are missing

Post by madhan1510 »

Case #05199047 — Backup Repository issue - Restore points are missing

Job Type: Backup
Schedule: daily at 10 PM
Storage: iSCSI NAS
Restore points: 75 Forever Forward incremental backup

While working the disk space issue in backup repository i have done a mistake. I removed a chain from the backup repository and put it in the other drive. Then i re-scan the backup repository and open the Disk properties and done forget this file and related files from there.

Now i have Full backup which is 2 months old and all increment backups are removed from restore points but the data is still available in backup folder.

I have restore the configuration backup file but it did not made any changes there.

Is there a way to make the backup files available in the restore points which are available in the backup repository folder.

So you have only moved the incremental without the fullbackup and removed those from the configuration? If so, you would need to move full and Incs back to the same folder and then try to import them.

Probably you'll need to remove the complete backup from the configuration first, but before that I would suggest that you work with support on that.
