Backups for Mobile Server

Post by twelcome »

Running two instances of Veeam Backup and Replication. I am currently running a copy or Veeam Bbackup and Rep on one physical server that backs up all guests. I am building a mobile server one that I can take on the move in case of an outage. I would like to be able to take the mobile server and point to the already in use backup repository.

This represents the most classic DR scenario for a case of the complete site loss (including backup server loss). Probably happens a few times per day across our 1M active installs and there are zero problems with it. You don't really need a "mobile server" though as it takes about 15 min to provision a new one from scratch in case of need. Remember you can install Veeam Backup & Replication even on your laptop, in a cloud VM, etc.

Does this mean I can install Veeam on more than one server with the same license?
