Best Methods for Testing/Verifying Hyper-V Replicas
I need to test & verify our Veeam Hyper-V replicas (preferably without interrupting production VMs) but I can't find any guide to do so. Is it possible to test the replica VMs without affecting production?

Hi Levin, you can perform a failover with re-IP into some isolated network, this will not affect production.

I was under the impression that performing a failover would shut down the production VM and boot the replica. Based on your response, I assume that's not the case? After the failover, do I need to failback or take any subsequent steps to ensure replication continues as normal?

Not failback but undo failover - this will discard any changes occurred while replica was running. The original VM is not affected in case you initiate a failover.

Thank you for the assistance. When performing a failover, I do not have the option for re-IP. I'm afraid if I commit to the failover, the replica will conflict with the production VM. Is there something I'm missing?

You can configure re-IP rules in the replication job. They will be applied when you perform a failover.
