Hello,
We have a dedicated DR site running:
2x Dell R540 Clustered running Windows 2019 Standard
1x Dell ME4012 iSCSI
1x Clustered VM running Veeam B&R installed on Windows 2019 Standard
7x Protected data sources located on another site
We are only licensed to run a single Windows VM (in addition to the production VMs we are protecting) which is consumed by the B&R VM. What is the best practice for configuring the backup repository in this configuration?
My current plan is to configure a Hyper-V adapter on the iSCSI subnet and assign it to the B&R VM. This would make the B&R VM the backup repository, saving to the SAN. Is this the best choice for our configuration?

Re: Best practice for Backup Repository in Hyper-V Cluster with iSCSI SAN
Hello,
The plan sounds good, you may also refer to this page of the best practices guide to get more details about block repositories, including iSCSI-based ones.
Thanks!
