Bulk operations - create target folder

Post by frankive »

When i try to restore multiple VM to an alternate location and change the path on the host, all the vhdx goes into the same folder. Is it possible to reference to a path that can be created with an relative path? F.ex restore to \\sm3\vhdx\%vmname% or something similiar?
Most of my vmm share the same c: disk drive name as they are created from an template (I know I probably should rename..)

Frank, are you talking about the ability to specify destination location for multiple VMs at the Datastore step of the Restore Wizard? I'm afraid, it is not possible to specify the relative path here via UI, so you should explicitly select different locations for different VMs in this dialog.
