Hi,
I just moved VM (windows server 2008 r2 SP1) to new Hyper-V 2019 server core host, and from this point I cannot backup this VM, I get error:
"Processing VM_NAME Error: Guest processing skipped (check guest OS VSS state and hypervisor integration components version) "
I connected to this VM from Hyper-v host and I cannot see any option like "Insert Integration Services Setup Disk" in Action Menu, as I read on Microsoft Page Integration Services from now are buit in with Hyper-V server. In VM Integration Services settings is checked option "Backup (volume shadow copy). What can I do more to fix this?

Re: Cannot backup VM with windows server 2008 r2
Hi Wojciech
- You can make sure VM has valid HV 2019 integration services version installed(run PowerShell on a Hyper-V host: "Get-VM | ft Name, IntegrationServicesVersion"). If not, run Winnows update on guest OS(2008r2sp1), as Integration Services are coming with those nowadays.
- You can disable Application-aware image processing for that VM in Veeam Job settings. That will essentially ignore Guest OS completely and perform so called Crash-consistent backup without care of guest interaction.
/Thanks!
