Cannot retrieve the version of the specified module

Veeam Backup & Replication cannot retrieve the version of the specified module.Module Path: C:\Windows\Backup\Upload\VeeamDeploymentDLL.dll

--tr: Failed to create new path to Library
--tr:Failed to upgrade VeeamDeploymentDll.Path
--tr:Error code: 0x00000714

Size of the Version resource is unknown. The specified image file did not contain a resource section

Please kindly help to resolve this issue

Hi Seth.
- Go Backup Infrastructure tab and go through Properties wizard of Veeam server machine listed there(next-next-next-finish style),
- once its done, right click and select "Rescan" on your backup repository.
- Try to run your task again.

If I do the rescan it returns an error

This is after an upgrade to version 10a.
All the files are listed as the previous versions.

Sounds like something has caused a lock during upgrade.
Would not suggest manual cleanup actions to resolve the .dll conflict, so please open a support ticket and follow an engineer guide to fix it.

in my case i solved by restarting these host server services:
- VeeamDeploySvc
- VeeamHvIntegrationSvc
- VeeamTransportSvc
