I have a Hyper-V 2016 VM with 5 disks.
The Veeam Backup contains 5 disks.
The Veeam Backup copy (in an Azure repository) contains 5 disks.
When I restore locally I get 5 disks.
When I restore to an Azure VM via the appliance wizard, it only restores 4 of the disks.
It consistently skips disk SCSI0-0
Other VMs with multiple disks (some less, some more) all restore to Azure without issue.
The only distinction of this disk is it's size (500GB)
Would this fail because of the 195 block blob limitation in Azure?
If so, is there a workaround? If not, I'd appreciate some other thoughts...
Thanks... -A

Re: Case 02452841 - Restore to Azure Skips Disk
What's the type of system disk? Isn't it a GPT by any chance? If so, the described behaviour looks expected (check limitations for Restore to Microsoft Azure). Thanks.

All disks are of type Basic with MBR partitioning style...v.Eremin wrote:What's the type of system disk? Isn't it a GPT by any chance? If so, the described behaviour looks expected (check limitations for Restore to Microsoft Azure). Thanks.

Hmm, then, let's wait and see what support engineer suggests after debug log review. Thanks.
