[ID# 03930502] Corrupt backup

Post by taona04 »

Case ID# 03930502

We did a bare restoration onto an identical physical server because the previous one was having some hardware issues. Everything went well. Everything was restored even the 2 virtual machines in the system were restored and were working.

We noticed however that the automatic backups for virtual machines that normally run did not work this time due to an error. I have attached the logs. It asked us to run a rescan which we did.

After the rescan everything was all synced. We ran the backup and as you would expect, the backup went well creating an incremental backup.

After testing some software we didn't like on the server, we decided to do a restore to the latest backup. From there on the virtual machine would not work. It did a 45gb incremental but it won't turn on. We tried to see if we can recover some files using the veeam file recovery but they don't seem readable.

So that is where we are, we have medical practice server that's currently down.

Hi Neville and welcome to the Veeam community!

Please continue working with the support team since the logs review is needed.
Also, in case of an emergency, you can escalate the support ticket via "Talk to a Manager" function on the support portal.

Thanks!
