DataFlow for Remote Site Application Item Restore?

Post by WingDog »

Hello!

My setup is:

SiteA - B&R Server 9, local DAS
SiteB - proxy and transport and shared CIFS Folder at NAS as repo.

I have VM with MS SQL Server (db1) with several bases (base1,base2, and so on) at SiteB with everyday backup to this NAS.

Today I've tried to restore one MSSQL Database "base1" from backup to db1 but with another name = "baseN" using AIR and found interesting thing - traffic come first SiteB(NAS)->SiteA(BRserver)->SiteB DB1
so if I have 1Tb database I'll wait twice time to copy it from site to site.

May be I've lost something during restore? or it is an expected behaviour?

thanks!

Kirill, you need to specify the proxy server located at site B to serve as the mount server for your repository.
