Is there a way to add to backup patched Hyper-V Server 2019, where Veeam B&R Community v10 (i can upgrade it to v12) is installed on legacy Windows 2012 Server (not R2!)
If i understand correctly according to the information on page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/top ... ed901c769c Microsoft has released a patch from Windows 2012r2 onwards..

Re: DCOM Hardening Windows 2012
Hi wktar, welcome to the forums.
The DCOM hardening changes should not affect operations as per our Knowledge Base article here, so assuming all the Windows servers in the backup environment have the security patches, there are no anticipated issues. I think this KB article was written with v11 and later in mind, but the DCOM hardening should not be an issue as I recall as long as all the Windows servers have the necessary security patching.
Given that it's 2012 and not 2012R2, protecting this machine either with Veeam Agent for Windows or doing a cold backup of the server (shut down the server prior to backup) should be sufficient to protect it.
