Hi my first post here. We are looking into creating an offsite DR and using Veeam to replicate VMs. My question is, do the VMs at the remote off-site location need to be turned on when replication occurs? Or can the VMs be in an OFF state when onsite VMs are being replicated.
Thanks.

Re: DR replication VM question
Hi Jonathan,
Target VMs are always in the powered off state when replication job is running. If you turn them on, the replication job will fail, cause it will not be able to write changes to a running VM.
Thanks!
