Error accessing port 2500 in replication task
Good day!
When I start a replication task from a Hyper-v server connected to the Veeam Backup and Replication console via vpn, I get an error: the replication task could not be processed. Error: Could not connect to port [Hyper-v-host: 2500]. This port is open in the firewall

Please check the port requirements thoroughly, this port is required for several types of connections. If everything looks configured properly, feel free to contact technical support for a closer look. Thanks!

Firewalls on Hyper-v and VM on it are temporarily disabled, all ports are available through VPN. I cannot contact the support service, because they do not answer questions about the free version of the product

They do, just on the "best effort" basis.

Re: Error accessing port 2500 in replication task
Good day! Support couldn't help me completely without a support ID. When I use TCP listener for port 2500 on the Hyper-v host, I can connect to this port from the VM with Veeam Backup and Replication console using telnet. This way the port opens correctly

When I add Hyper-v host as a proxy for this job, I have an eror Unable to allocate processing resources. Error: There is no hardware provider for off-host backup detected. Snapshot failover is disabled.

Hi Mikhail,
That does not indicate there is no connectivity issue obviously. It could be not only the post itself, but also permissions-related root cause or anything else preventing the connection.
Since the troubleshooting is not possible through the forums we can only recommend working with support engineers. Btw, what's the ID of the support case you created? Please note, that forum posts not having a case ID mentioned will be eventually removed by forum moderators.
Thanks

We only have a community version of veeam backup and replication. The support service does not answer such cases

As Foggy mentioned above, our technical support places cases with community edition or any other free Veeam product involved in a queue and responds to them if/when they have an opportunity to do so. What's the ID of your support case?
