Hi all,
I am planning to restore Hyper-V Host with CSV in next several days for disaster recovery plan by using bare metal with Recovery Media. I did full backup 2 Hyper-V Hosts using Windows Agent Backup, but when backup job starts, it skips the recovery media collection: cluster contains CSV disks. Could anyone help me what kind of full restore that i should use if my Hosts go down?
Thanks,
Minh

Re: Failed to create Recovery Media with CSV
Hello,
and welcome to the forums.
The agent is not built to backup VMs. It ignores cluster shared volumes for that reason (well, also for other reasons. But that's not relevant). For VMs, please have a look at Backup & Replication
Best regards,
Hannes

Re: Failed to create Recovery Media with CSV
Hello,
yes this is a good question.
In Backup & Replication the same message is shown in the log when you backup a hyper-v host with a csv drive.
So - How do i make a recovery media then for the disaster recovery?

Re: Failed to create Recovery Media with CSV
Hello,
I just used the recovery media creation wizard (start menu or yellow warning in GUI) right now and it worked without any problems. It referenced to https://www.veeam.com/kb2058 because of the CSV and that's it.
I have a standalone agent installation on my Hyper-V host.
Best regards,
Hannes
