failed to import snapshot on offhost proxy.
Veeam backup server has the lastest version 9.5 update4
I have 2 2012R2 clusters and a 2012R2 offhost proxy.
This setup worked fine, but now for the last 2 weeks, I'am getting the following error.
I already remove the hardware provider from my offhost and reinstalled, same issue.
I see that the vss is nicely created on the 3par but it doesn't export it to my offhost proxy.
Failed to import snapshot on offhost proxy hv-dco01-vbpxy Details:
Failed to import snapshot: Import snapshot task has failed. No shadow copies were successfully imported. 01:31
I have the issue with all the volumes in those clusters.
I don't have issues with my 2016 clusters with my 2016 off host proxies.

Hi Carol,
I don't think we'll be able to troubleshoot it easily through the forums since we should take a look at the log files and other circumstances to get the full picture. Please, raise a support request and let us know your support case ID.
Thanks in advance!

This has started happening on my setup as well. Same error. Came about in the same unexpected way over the weekend.
Desperate to get this sorted, would be interested to hear if Carol resolved it on her network.

Not really much closer to resolving this. It might be this issue: https://www.3parug.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=693

Hi EJ,
As far as I see it appeared to be a 3PAR issue. Is there anything we can help you with in this regard?
Thanks

Re: failed to import snapshot on offhost proxy.
After opening a ticket with HP we were able to resolve this.
The version of the VSS driver I'm using has a limit on the number of temporary files it is allowed to generate. In total these files only amount to around 45mb so didn't cause any disk space issues. It's purely a limitation of the VSS driver. The solution is to delete the temp files. It takes about an hour to delete this many 1kb files from a Windows server!
By default the temp files are stored in: c:\program files\3par\HWPRV\temp

Hey, removing those temp files did the trick.

Re: failed to import snapshot on offhost proxy.
Update, this can happen on any server using 3PAR VSS of this version. Cluster nodes as well as off-host proxy servers.
