Failed to process replication task: Error code 32791

I have a replication job with 5 VMs, one of the VMs is failing with the error

Failed to process replication task Error: Job failed (''ServerWin2008R2_replica' failed to apply checkpoint. Error code: '32791'.

This has been working fine. The only change we made recently is move the backup job to a new repository. The backup job runs fine and I've checked the source in the replication job has been updated. The other VMs in the job were also moved from/to the same new location but not having issues replicating.

I checked the problem VM VSS writers and found no issues. I rebooted and fully patched the Windows server but still no joy retrying the job.

I've opened support case ref: 0231954.

Both VBR Servers are running v9.5.0.1038 on Windows Server 2012 R2.

Any one else experienced this or have ideas about resolving?

Hi Craig, you've mentioned you have two backup servers, could you please clarify the entire scenario? Are you running backup jobs by the first backup server and then replicate VMs from created backups using the second backup server?

Sorry for the extended delay replying, on a very long to do list!

Foggy- to clarify, I have two backup servers in two geographical locations. I backup VMs at site 1 and replicate to site 2 and vice versa.

RESOLUTION
I’ve opted for starting the replica job from the beginning. I deleted the replica from disk and removed all trace of the replica VM. I’ve kicked off the job and all good.
