Getting: "Hyper-V Integration Services are not up to date"

Should I worry about the message: "Hyper-V Integration Services are not up to date" appearing as part of the job log for each VM I'm backing up?

It is displayed with a green-tick so not being flagged as an error.

Well, Integration Services are responsible for various things, including backup consistency. If I were you, I would go for update. Regarding the message having green tick - IMO it should be a yellow warning tick, I'll check that with team.

yes, it goes away if you update Integration services. Only slight problem with that is it seems to be a very manual cumbersome process which requires a reboot!
