How to evacuate an extent from a SOBR

Post by darren.poyner »

Hello

I am after some help.

I have a SOR with the following extents:

- AWS Bucket - Capacity Tier
- Windows Server Repository 1 - Performance Tier
- Windows Server Repository 2 - Performance Tier

There is backup data on - Windows Server Repository 1.

There is no backup data on - Windows Server Repository 2.

I need to move existing backup data from Windows Server Repository 1 to Windows Server Repository 2 and then remove Windows Server Repository 1 from the SOBR.

How is this done?

Thanks
Darren

Hi Darren

Have you tried the evacuate option?
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... ml?ver=110

Note:
You will loose any reFS FastClone space savings if you move the data to new storage. If you can wait for V12, you can use the option and keep the space savings.
As a workaround, you can try to move the data with disk cloning tools outside of veeam.

Thanks
