How to remove deleted Vm from backup
Hi.
We have a problem where veeam tries to backup a guest VM that have been deleted.
It fails with this message:
"Task failed. Failed to expand object Servername. Error: Cannot find VM Servername on host 10.0.1.20"
The Vm in question have been deleted for over a year, so the 'deleted VM retention time' is not the cause.
Is there a way to force Veeam to re-index the HyperV cluster so that it no longer tries to do a backup of a non-existing guest?

Hi Espen,
What is your current version? Did it happen after you upgraded from v8 to v9?
Have you backed up SCVMM server or Hyper-V cluster?
Thanks!

Re: How to remove deleted Vm from backup
Hi Shestakov,
I just took over this problem from a co-worker who have been struggling with this for a while.
This is not SCVMM, only Hyper V cluster. I tried to delete the cluster from the selection and re-add it, but it still tries to backup the old deleted server.
The version is 8.0

Thanks for the reply.
The behavior is unexpected, so I would suggest contacting Veeam technical support.
What is your backup method? Does it include Active full runs?

Ok.
Backup is Incremental, with active full once a week.

Have you tried the Active Full run? Does it fail with the same error?
Please post the case number here once you contact Veeam technical support.
