Hi Guys,
Was wondering how we could backup our 3 nodes Hyper-v 2012 CSV with Veeam 6.5 by using the direct san access like in Vmware.
Also as we have only 3 Physical Servers all dedicated to Hyper-v, where is it better to intall Veeam, in a VM on one node or one of the Host?
Connection to San storage is via SAS connection.
Backuo repository will be the san as well in another enclosure attached to the main one and then taken offline during the day.
Regards
David

Re: Hyper-V 2012 Direct San Access
Hi David,
I would install Veeam backup server on the VM, but any physical host will also work. As to the SAN mode question, then It's recommended to use off-host backup proxies to backup Hyper-V VMs. Please take a look at our Evaluator’s Guide (page 16) for additional details on this setup.
Thanks!
