Well after a full night seems I have figured it out.

Even though the veeam intergration services upgraded ok, and I had rebooted each node. I finialy uninstalled all the veeam services on each node and thenthe cluster in veeam. Had veeam rediscover the cluster and reinstall all the services. After that the backups are now working.

Point of interest. One if the vms I backed up had snapshots, after the backup completed it automatically started merging the snapshots!! I don't have a problem with this but just a heads up.

We do not use VM snapshots for Hyper-V backup, so merging of those is unexpected (and is unlikely to be triggered by the backup process).

[MERGED] Provider [{b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}] d

Post by spgsit5upport »

Two identical hardware (PE720)
Identical 2012 R2 config with Hyper-V with SAME lever of updates (both on KB2919355 with anything post)

Both attached to same Dell MD 3600i array via identical hardware Intel X540T cards

CSV configured

One server works perfectly fine (all backups of VM running on it are fine), second server gives error

Provider [{b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}] does not support shadow copies of volume [CSV]

That server worked perfectly fine till before KB2919355 update.

vssadmin list providers
vssadmin list writers

give IDENTICAL output on both

iSCSI MPIO is on both servers with vendor Dell MD Series DSM

None of this makes sense to me.

Anybody has any ideas?

Thanks

Seb

Try to re-add hosts to Veeam B&R console, as it is described above. If this does not help, please contact support for a closer look at your setup.
