As we don't have any release date for B&R 9.5.
Is-it possible to force installation on a Hyper-V 2016 (at my own risk) ?
I am pretty sure, it can working in a standard setup.

Hello! Even if it was possible, it is pointless because Hyper-V 2016 has a completely new backup API.

I am in the same boat -ish. One of my standalone hypervisors crashed softwarewise, and I've reinstalled it with Hyper-V 2016 of course, that's the way to go now. This machine only hosts a few testvm's and one management VM. My Veeam machine is still 2012R2 but I can't add the new 2016 host to it. For no role at all it seems. Can we enroll in the beta program (although I think it's already in RTM) through support? While I know Veeam is one of the first to support 2016, it's still just a few days late in my situation.

It's very annoying to not be able to save our VM in Hyper-V 2016 in case of crash ...

RTM build has been already distributed among all Veeam Cloud Connect service providers and active resellers partners. General crowd should get 9.5 in a few weeks. Thanks.

Is it possible to download the RTM version before its release to Public ? Because it becomes critical not backing up correctly VM for few weeks ...

Another question: Will it be possible to upgrade from Backup & Replication 7.0.0.871 to 9.5, or do we have to make the to 9.0 and then to 9.5?

In-place upgrade to Veeam B&R 9.5 will be supported from versions 9.0 and 8.0 Update 3.

It should be simplier.
