Hi,
i have a hyper-v cluster with csv volumes.
i use a physical backup server with veeam on it.
the csv volumes are iscsi luns presented bij our netapp storage.
i want to use offhost proxy (backup) to perform faster backups and use the backend storage better.
to use this i need netapp hardware vss providers.
with what are these hardware vss providers included ? with snapdrive ?
so i have to pay for that at netapp ?
anyone has this setup running ?

Re: HYPER-V OFFHOST BACKUP WITH NETAPP
As far as I’m concerned, the NetApp VSS Hardware Provider called DataONTAP is delivered and installed as a part of NetApp SnapDrive for Windows. SnapDrive is licensed per storage controller, or per physical Windows Server.
SnapDrive for Windows can be downloaded by licensed customers from http://now.netapp.com.
For further information regarding SnapDrive for Windows please see the following article: http://www.netapp.com/us/products/manag ... ndows.html.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
