Hyper-v Restore Issue

I have a ticket open (00201712) for an issue where I tried to do a restore from last night and the files date back to 3/12. The backup has been running great for 3 months and I see data is being backed up every night, but the files are not the most current. Would surebackup have protected against this?

Phewww. It was the modified timestamp that was wrong in the backup file and even after it was restored but the restored data was current.
