Hyper-V & Veeam traffic

Hi guys,

With a hyper-v cluster what is the best method to have Veeam using certain nics on the hosts? Ideally we want to have dedicated nics for veeam traffic. Have tried editing hosts files and adding another IP to the cluster but Veeam always seems to use the default management nic.

With a VMWare environment I have successfully added nics to the esxi hosts and edited the hosts file on the B&R install to in essence create a dedicated backup network. the vCenter server resource was added to Veeam using its default ip

You can specifying preferred networks for data transfer in Main menu> Network Traffic>Networks.
