Hyper-V VM Snapshot based Backups with Server 2012r2

Hi all,

I'm curious: might there be a way to get the way back up from Veeam is done on server 2016 also for the 2012r2 server technology stack?
As I understand, Veeam uses the per VM based snapshot in Server 2016 -> per VM Snapshots can today also be triggered as for example with SCVMM on a per VM base instead of on a volume base.
