Is imported backup files will be deleted by retention policy

Hi,

I’ve manually copied old vbk along with their vib files to the backup job folder, then imported them under Backup > Disk (Imported).

Will they be deleted automatically by the retention policy, or they’ll stay their forever until I delete them manually?

If the imported backup chain isn't mapped to any running backup job, then it will stay there till you delete it manually. Thanks!
