Hi guys,
I have a copy of Veeam B&R running in a microsoft hyper-v environment.
At the moment I have daily backups running and I keep 7 days worth of backups.
I would like to be able to keep 7 days, 4 weeks and 3 months of backups, or something similar. Is this possible and if so what is the best way to configure it?
Also, is it possible to back up selected files from within a VM, or even just to back up selected disks from a VM?

Re: keeping weekly/monthly backups
Hi,
Thank you.
There is a feature called GFS retention policy. You can create a Backup Copy Job and set a retention policy tailored to your specific needs, backups can be kept for years, if needed. GFS is considered to be the best practice when dealing with long-term retention.I would like to be able to keep 7 days, 4 weeks and 3 months of backups, or something similar. Is this possible and if so what is the best way to configure it?
Thank you.
