Hello Guys,
I wonder if it is possible to merge backups manually if it is from the same VM. I had the problem that after a crash and reinstallation of the Hyper-V environment the VM's that were running in the backup job had a new restore point. So we had duplicate backups of all VM's. Would it be possible to merge these restore points manually?
Best regards

Re: Manual merge of backups
Hi joshima,
Regrettably not at this time, there is no way to merge two backup chains together nor merge two backups.
It's not clear for me if you have a duplicate backup for a single day or two backups showing in the Backups > Disk section, but regardless, best bet is to just let retention (Background or Job) remove the duplicated point when it's time.

Thank you for your fast response. Hopefully this function will be available in the future.joshima wrote: ↑Mar 11, 2025 1:43 pm Hello Guys,
