Meta data size for ConfigStoreRootPath

Post by goforittossy »

I'm referring the following KB and I understand ConfigStoreRootPath cluster parameter must be defined if my VM with VHDSet resides on a CSV.
https://www.veeam.com/kb2709

From following KB, meta files will be created to the ConfigStoreRootPath. Can I expect how big those meta files will be? and Is it possible to change the ConfigStoreRootPath setting after once I set this parameter?

Hi goforittossy,

I'm not aware of any sizing guidance for the ConfigStoreRootPath folder, so not sure we can answer in full here.

As per Microsoft it cannot be changed once set.

We had another topic where a user shared their research, and they recommended setting on a volume / folder all nodes could see / reach, so probably best to do something similar. I've not heard of issues with the ConfigStoreRootPath directory getting bloated or causing issues aside from it not being set.
