Hello guys, What is the optimal way to send the backup files over a slow connection to a remote location? I have tried the following method to create a second backup site but the backup fails for different reasons everyday.
Main-Site:
30 Mbits Upload with static IP
VBR makes a backup on local NAS
VBR makes a Backup-Copy to Remote-Site via SMB Share
Remote-Site
50 Mbits Download with Dynamic-IP
VPN Client on Synology connects to the Main-Site
NAS SMB Share for Veeam Backup

Re: Need a stable method to send backup to remote location
Hello and Welcome to Veeam R&D Forums!
I can suggest:
1. Make sure that the gateway server used for a secondary SMB share is located in the remote site (specify the gateway in the repository settings).
2. Open a support case to investigate the root cause of the failures. Please share a support case ID with us.
Thanks!
