Trying to setup a new Backup Repository on a share on another Windows 2012 Server on a Remote site.
I am using the correct UNC and username/password, I can access the share through Windows.
Getting the following error: Unable to detect storage parameters for path \\servername\share$\folder
I have tried a local account and a domain account.
Veeam Backup and Replication 8 (fully patched)
Windows Server 20102 R2 Hyper-V.
I\d appreciate any ideas as I have exhausted Google and my limited knowledge of Veeam...

Re: New Backup Repository
Are you able to add that Windows Server as a Windows repository using the same accounts?

Re: New Backup Repository
Vitaliy S,
I tried to setup a Windows Repository, and it failed...
Access is denied, failed to create a persistent connection to ADMIN$ shared folder on host [10.240.10.130]. Failed to install Service [VeeamDeploymentService] was not installed month host 10.240.10.130.
The account I'm trying to use does not have access to the ADMIN$ share, and why does it require the VeeamDeploymentService? This is where I need to sit down and read the Manaual...

Re: New Backup Repository
Christian, local admin account should have access to this share. Once you're able to access it, it would be possible to add your server as CIFS repository.
