Hi,
Hope this is a quick and easy one Can you install server 2019 on the veeam host with a 2016 cluster ok or does the OS need to match as we will upgrade to 2019 cluster at a later date so makes sense to have 2019 on the new host now.
regards,

Re: New veeam repo installation
Hello,
That scenario is supported, yes. You can have your Veeam Backup and Replication running Windows Server 2019 or even Windows Server 2022 while having your Hyper-V Cluster running in 2016 still.
I can not find anywhere where it describes your specific scenario, but as per usual, some good information can be found here: If you want a better, more official response by email. You can double-check with our Support Engineers by opening a support ticket.
