No Exchange logs truncated
Hallo There,
I setup a Hyper V host (Windows Server 2019) with Hyper V. DC and Exchange 2019 are guests. I installed Veeam Backup and replication on the host and created B2D (to rotating USB disks). The problem is that logs are not truncated during the exchange backup. I selected "application aware log processing" (general tab).
What ccould be the problem? We have the community edition.
thanks and regards
Mr. HT

Hi Hallo,
Welcome to Veeam Community Forums!
What t-log handling options you have configured? Any errors you have got during job execution?
Thanks

Re: No Exchange logs truncated
Hallo Wishr,
thanks for answering.
In tab "general" we have "require successful processing" and "process transaction logs with this job". Under the tab "SQL" we have "truncate logs (prevent logs from growing forever)".
The "guest OS credential" "Test now" was successful.
The Backup ends with success...
Thanks
HT

Re: No Exchange logs truncated
Could you please additionally check t-log job sessions? They are located under "Last 24 hours", "Running", "XXXXX SQL Server Transaction Log Backup". Double click the t-log job, then the VM to get a detailed view of sessions.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: No Exchange logs truncated
Under "Last 24 hours" it has "Backup DC and Exchange (Active Full)" - it green in "truncating Exchange transaction logs"...

Well, in this case, the best way to proceed is to contact our support team directly since debug logs analysis and overall detailed look at the situation is required. Please do not forget to let us know your case ID.
