Production drive is getting low on free space
Hi,
We have a hyper-v fail over cluster and we have several virtual servers running on it. For one of the virtual machine when I try to use veam backup to backup the vitual machine i get the error as:
Production drive 'C:\ClusterStorage\Volume1' is getting low on free space (4.9 GB left), and may run out of free disk space completely due to open snapshots.
Error: Client error: Banks pool is suspended.
I don't have any space left in the SAN drive to allocate more space for Volumen1. What other options do i have? is it possible to change the snapshot creating place? (I do have a USB drive connected to the host).
Many Thanks

Hello Milindra,
Try to use this registry key, should help to suppress this warning message.
P.S. I would recommend to free up some space on your SAN, as 4.9 GBs can cause troubles with open snapshots.
Thank you!

Vitaly, this registry key changes the threshold when snapshot operation is blocked completely. I don't believe it affects warnings.

Yes, warning messages will still appear in the GUI, so the best way to address this is to clear some space on the production storage.

You can specify the location for VM snapshot files in Windows Server 2012 and later.
