Hi All,
we want to configure a new Windows 2016 server as Veeam Off host proxy / repository server to use ReFS.
Is it possible / supported to configure this new Windows 2016 server as a Off host proxy server to backup a Windows 2012R2 Hyper-V cluster ?
thanks !

Re: ReFS windows 2016 and 2012 Hyper-V cluster
Hey lowlander,
Unfortunately that is not possible. Each Hyper-V version (and especially 2012R2 and 2016) have so many differences that you can't use one version as an offhost proxy for another one. That goes in both ways I'm afraid

I haven't had issues with mixing 2012 R2 and 2016 when VMs are on SMB. I would imagine when doing CSV with hardware VSS then it could be more of a problem.
