Remove restore points from imported backups (no job)

Post by stuart645785 »

Hello,

I had a backup job that backed up several Hyper-V VMs, each with several restore points. The VMs are gone and the backup job has been removed, however I still have the backups on disk available should we ever want to restore a VM or data. To save on disk space, I would like to have just the one restore point.

Is it possible to 'collapse' all restore points for each VM down into one?

Thanks

Consider using the backup export functionality for that. Thanks!

Thank you for the reply.

I had planned to use VeeamZIP as a backup if I couldn't easily remove those restore points (there is a pun in that sentence if you look hard enough).
