Replication between Hyper-v 2k8r2 and 2k12

I didn't go through with it, but the replication wizard let me setup a job for replicating a Hyper-v 2008r2 vm to a Hyper-v 2012 server. Is this possible?

Yes, this scenario was specifically tested, as we expect customers to use this functionality for Hyper-V upgrades. I should promote this capability in the forum digest I guess, since this becomes a common question lately.
