I'm backing up my HyperV Windows VM which hosts a network share. On that share I accidently deleted a folder and want to restore it from my backup. This fileshare is about 2TB worth of data though, so I'm curious if theres a way to extract just a single folder from a large VHDX?
I see that right clicking my backup and choosing "Restore VM Files...", I can pick a VHDX to restore. Again, this is a big file and I don't have enough space to restore the entire VHDX. Is there a way to virtually extract a folder from it?

Re: Restore individual folder from hyperv backup?
Hello,
that would be file level restore: big restore button in ribbon -> Microsoft Hyper-V -> restore from backup -> Guest files restore

Best regards,
