Hi everyone,
i have some kind of problem:
We have a new cluster set up. New CPU. New Style (S2D).
I wanted to live migrate the VMs from the other cluster to the new one. But it always fails with "incompatibilities" - so i am searching for an easy way to "offline move".
I thought i could restore the config files into my new cluster and then copy the VHDX one after the other to their new destination over SMB.
But i only seem to be able to restore the config into a file or to restore a complete VM to the cluster. But not only the config files and attach them into the cluster.
Is this impossible?
BR
Stephan

Re: Restore only configuration files into a Cluster (no VHDX)
Hi Stephan
You can use Veeam Replica Jobs. They don't care about different CPU's.
Replica Jobs let you pre-sync all virtual machine data and when you ready to make the cut, just run a planned failover. Copying over SMB would lead to a much longer downtime.

Great! That sounds like the solution!
I will try it out - thanks for pointing that out.
