Server 2008 R2 can't find it's own hyper-v in Veeam
I have a few servers with a few vm's on them. After running the install of the free version of veeam backup, I go into the program and add the new servers first.
The program basically says Network Path not found. It won't find it by name, ip address or even by using localhost.
What could the issue be? Could this be a credential issue? I am able with my user account to open the admin share just fine.
Thanks for any help

Can you ping the server from the backup console by name or IP address?
Not sure what you mean by localhost, you cannot add remote server with that.

Yes, I can ping the server from any computer on the network.
The veeam backup software is running on one of the two servers. In the Veeam backup software the server can't find itself. This seems very strange.

I have no ideas, but must be something most basic and obvious with your infrastructure, as I do not recall anyone reporting issues like this before, and we have over 200'000 users for the free version
Should you exhaust your troubleshooting skills, feel free to open a support case for assistance. We provide support to Free Edition users based on staff availability. The response may take longer then usual, but in most cases you will hear back eventually.

Well, my ticket has been deleted from my account. No reply, it's just gone.
