Slow Backups of non-Cluster Host Servers

Good Day All,
Giving Veeam a test and think I have something setup incorrectly. Running a Hyper-v 2 Node cluster with SAS shared storage (Dell MD3220 SAS). When backing up VM's from the CSV backups of guests on the non-cluster Host Server speeds are half of what they are (usually around 50 MB/s as opposed to 100MB/s) on the Cluster Host Server. Is this common or something I may have easily set up wrong? Thanks!

So you have 2 hosts in cluster, and 1 standalone?
What storage the standalone host is using?

Sorry, no, 2 hosts in a cluster, 1 physical server running veeam with local storage. Backing up guests on the cluster master is twice the speed of the other cluster member. If I make that host the cluster master guest backups on it are twice the speed.

What Hyper-V version are you using?

Hyper-V 2012, it looks as though the backups are fast one the CSV Owner Node, and half the speed on non CSV Owner Nodes.

This is why I asked about Hyper-V version. Basically, what you have referenced does NOT apply to Hyper-V 2012. In other words, redirected access should never happen. I will ask devs if they have any thoughts, but most likely they will request that you open a support case and provide all logs.

Thanks. I have contacted Dell also to see if it is an issue with their storage as I can replicate the issue on two MD3220 SAS storage arrays.
