Quick question. We have really been struggling with getting Veeam working well when onboarding clients with hyper-v.
Sometimes I see checkpoints created named:
Veeam Recovery Checkpooint (UUID)
Other times I see them created as:
vm-name - Backup (Date and time)
When dealing with new customers and competing backup products, and trying to ascertain what is happening, it would help if I knew for sure if there is still a competing a backup product creating snapshots. Does Veeam ever create snapshots named "vm-name - Backup (Date and time)" manner? Or are those being created by another product? Does Veeam always create checkpoints as Veeam Recovery Checkpooint (UUID)?

Re: Struggling with Hyper-V Checkpoints
I never saw Veeam create checkpoints named other than Veeam Recovery Checkpoint. Did a quick double check in my lab and it matches:

Sounds like there could be another solution also interacting with Hyper-V.

Re: Struggling with Hyper-V Checkpoints
I don't think this is accurate. I just did a test and the checkpoints were made and named: vm-name - Backup (Date and time)
This is really difficult when dealing with new environments.
