Using another IP for backup traffic
I know it is a very specific condition and for security reasons, backup network should rather be separate from production. But in this case, the backup storage is in the same subnet / network, but the Hyper-V host has two interfaces. One 1GBit for management and a 10Gbit for VM traffic. I would like to use the 10Gbit interface for backup traffic also, but VEAM only lets me specify another subnet but not the interface or IP. Is this a limitaion of Windows or could it be possible to support this case?

If it's about the "preferred networks"... did you already try to specify an IP address by using the subnet mask /32 or 255.255.255.255? If yes, do you have a support case number with more details?but VEAM only lets me specify another subnet but not the interface or IP

Re: Using another IP for backup traffic
Hello Hannes,
thanks for the hint. I didn't expect that host addresses could also be entered there.
I'll see if that works.
Kind regards
Andreas
