Veeam Backup and Replication

We have upgraded to Veeam 9.5 and now when I am trying to replicate VMs I receive following error: The following hosts are incompatible with the target host and the target host is Windows server 2016 on Hyper-V Cluster. Veeam is installed on Windows server 2012 R2,
Please help

Hi,

You are trying to replicate from what host (version) to a 2016 host server? Are you using off-host proxies? And what type of replication are you performing? Legacy or Snapshot. Last but not least, from which version of B&R are you coming?

Hi Mike,
We upgrade our Veeam 9 to 9.5 which is on Windows Server 2012 R2. We have a new Hyper-V cluster 2016 and all nodes are 2016. Replica type is snapshot.
Does this mean that we need to upgrade Windows Server 2012 R2 to 2016 to be able to replicate ?

To be honest, I am not sure. There are a lot of changes between the Windows 2016 and 2012 R2 architecture when it comes to checkpoints and RCT and so on.
Since all is new I assume your VM's are already configuration version 8?

Can you create a support call for this one? Might be something really stupid but I would like to get it checked nonetheless. As usual, please log the support case ID and follow-up here also
