Hello,
i have 2 hp 2040 san storage that is connected to my server through hp fiber switch
i plan to use veeam as backup solution
the storage is store a hyper-v virtual machines
i plan to backup a san storage on dedicated hp 2040.
so should u connect this storage to same switch ?
or i should connected to my servers directly ?
do i have to install a veeam on dedicated sever or i can install it as vm ?
if i have a remote servers on my network should i have to install any other veaam products?
thanks.

Re: veeam backup on san
Thought this was relevant, as I too have a MSA2040. I am using the SAN with 3, 2016 Core nodes. Evidently Veeam doesn't support build 1709 core nodes, nor does it support clusters using CSV's! Only shared disks. This was rather surprising and disappointing! My setup is only for lab/eval purposes, but I glad I found out now...

Re: veeam backup on san
CSVs are supported.
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backu ... tml?ver=95
What the release notes are calling out are VMs with virtual disks on both local disk & CSVs. Those aren't supported.
