Veeam backups don't contain Hyper-V snapshots?

Can I just confirm that Veeam backups of Hyper-V virtual machines doesn't contain the snapshot structure? I've just restored a VM (instant & complete) and the checkpoint structure as shown here has been lost:

Hi, Rob.

You are correct, snapshots are not backed up.
When backup starts, we will trigger an additional temporary snapshot on top, and backup latest state of VM disks.
