Hello guys,
is the following scenario an officially supported design by Veeam?
Servers:
1 Hyper-V Prod. Host
1 Veeam BU Server (all-in-one installation)
Veeam Replication target should be the Veeam Server itself.
Hyper V Role installed.
In case ot a failure the VMs should get started on the Veeam Server (Hyper-V).
I did not find any specific answer to this.
In case i missed the infos to that i´m sorry in advance.
Kind regards!

Re: Veeam BU Server as Replication target?
Hi Tom
We recommend against installing Veeam directly on the HyperV Host. It's better to install the backup server inside a VM or use a dedicated Backup Host to protect your environment.
You can use the local storage of this HyperV for your backups (use the hyperv host directly as the backup repository or mount the storage as vDisks to the backup server vm), but I strongly recommend to consider a second copy (airgapped or immutable) for the backups. SOBR with Capacity Tier, Cloud Connect Provider or a simple Tape or USB Disk.
