I've installed Veeam community edition 12 directly on Hyper-V Host. /Windows Server 2019/ physical.
This Hyper-V is running 4 VMs. /All VMs are placed on disk D:/ (Windows is installed on disk C:)
Everything is running ok - Veeam backup job successful.
I've read: Veeam Backup & Replication must not be installed directly on a Hyper-V host. Such installation may lead to unpredictable system behavior. Instead, create a VM on the host and install Veeam Backup & Replication on the VM.
1. Should I uninstall Veeam ? and create VM Windows and install there Veeam and join Hyper-v VMs?
or
2. Leave it /Everything is backing up successfully/ ?
Thanks

Re: Veeam community installed directly on Hyper-V Host
I did that, and I was able to make it work fine until this last update. I think it's silly to create an entire other VM just to run it. But, okay.
It was working fine, and then it updated, and now everything is broken, and I can't figure it out. It is definitely something to do with access rights how VEEAM is trying to get to the VM to access it and it's failing. But it worked fine before the update, and the update brokew it, so be aware.
