Veeam file level backup

Hi Experts!

I am planning to use veeam software to make file-level backups for my users. I have previous experience in configuring VM-level backups using veeam.

But most of the users work from home using the internet and they don't have any connectivity with the office network. As my server is ready for veeam backup to be installed. How can I let the client and server talk via the internet or are there any alternate solutions. I can't opt for the cloud due to some reason.
